The scammers are using deceptive technology that makes it seem like those calls are coming from BayCoast Bank on their caller IDs.<br><br>The perpetrators then inform the customer that their account has been the target of fraud, and ask them to verify personal information, account information, debit card information, and\/or online banking credentials.\u00a0Fraudsters are then using that information to register for digital wallets and making large purchases.<br><br><strong>Please note that BayCoast Bank will NEVER contact our customers and ask them to verify any specific account or personal information.<\/strong><em> The Bank will only perform a verification process if you, the customer, initiate the call with the Bank.<\/em><br>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-ae2fab5\" id=\"em-strong-what-should-i-do-if-i-get-a-call-strong-em\" data-block-id=\"ae2fab5\"><h3 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><em><strong>What should I do if I get a call?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers are advised that if they do receive an unsolicited phone call from someone claiming to be from BayCoast Bank requesting personal information over the phone,&nbsp;<strong>hang up and notify us immediately by calling the Bank directly at 508-678-7641.&nbsp;<\/strong><br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-8743461\" id=\"em-strong-what-is-bay-coast-doing-to-protect-me-strong-em\" data-block-id=\"8743461\"><h3 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><em><strong>What is BayCoast doing to protect me?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Your security is our highest priority.&nbsp;To further protect our customers at this time,&nbsp;<strong>BayCoast Bank has placed increased restrictions on contactless payments.
