SWANSEA, WESTPORT, MA \u2013 BayCoast Bank, a respected community savings bank proudly serving the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Emma Pontes of Westport, Massachusetts, to Vice President, Asset Liability Management and Investment Officer. She previously held the title of Assistant Vice President, Senior Financial Analyst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the goal of achieving optimal financial performance, Pontes oversees the Asset Liability Management (ALM) position of the Bank\u2019s balance sheet, liquidity, and investments. This includes aligning the ALM process with the organization\u2019s overall risk management framework, while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontes brings nearly 13 years of experience to her new role, having started her career at BayCoast Bank as an intern in 2012. She has since risen through the ranks, holding several positions within the Finance Department, including Accounting Associate, Financial Associate, and Senior Financial Analyst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontes graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, with two degrees – a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2015, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2013. Additionally, she is a proud graduate of the New England School for Financial Studies, an intensive program run by the Massachusetts Bankers Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An active supporter of the South Coast community, Pontes is a Board member and Finance Committee member for the Watuppa Rowing Center, where she manages day-to-day finances and reporting for the nonprofit organization, based in Fall River, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
