Meet Marie Pellegrino

Marie Pellegrino proudly leads BayCoast Bank as President, overseeing the respected community savings bank that is dedicated to serving the people and businesses on the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Under the direction of the Bank’s CEO, Pellegrino, who was promoted to her new position in December 2025, manages the BayCoast organization and its comprehensive Family of Financial Solutions, helping customers achieve their banking, lending, insurance, and wealth management goals through the Bank’s wholly owned subsidiaries: BayCoast Mortgage, BayCoast Insurance, Plimoth Investment Advisors, and Priority Funding.

Pellegrino brings a wealth of financial knowledge, expertise, and leadership to her new position.

She began her finance career with a strong foundation in healthcare administration and accounting. In 2000, she transitioned to the community banking industry with employment as Accounting Manager for People’s Credit Union in Middletown, RI. Her remarkable journey continued as she assumed the role of Vice President and Controller at Newport Federal Savings Bank. In 2013, she embraced a new challenge by joining BayCoast Bank in Swansea, MA, where she has received numerous promotions during her tenure. She most recently served the Bank as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.

Pellegrino’s impressive background includes a strong commitment to educational excellence. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Providence College, where she also displayed her athleticism as a Division 1 softball pitcher. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers School of Financial Studies.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pellegrino is a devoted nature and animal enthusiast who cares about making an impact on our community. She volunteers for several local organizations and is currently a Board member for the Watuppa Rowing Center and One SouthCoast Chamber.

Pellegrino and her husband reside in South Easton, MA.
