Suzette C. Mello holds the position of Assistant Vice President, IRA Coordinator for BayCoast Bank. In this role, she handles all aspects of the IRA products and services for BayCoast’s Retail Banking Division.  She enjoys helping members of our community choose the IRA that best suits their unique retirement goals.  

Mello joined BayCoast Bank in 1999 as a Customer Service Associate and has received numerous promotions over the course of her nearly 25 years of service with the Bank.  She was most recently promoted to her current position as Assistant Vice President, IRA Coordinator in 2020.

Mello is a 2019 graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA)/New England School for Financial Studies.  She received her Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) certification in 2022, which demonstrates her significant level of experience, education and practical knowledge about IRAs.   Mello is a member of both the Massachusetts Retirement Plan Consortium and SouthCoast Health Ambassadors.  

A resident of Freetown, Massachusetts, Mello is a proud 2023 graduate of the Leadership SouthCoast program. She is a Massachusetts Notary Public and fluent in Portuguese.
