Prior to joining BayCoast Bank in November 2004, Carl served nearly 30 years in the Lending Division at Compass Bank, and was in charge of their Real Estate Mortgage Department where he developed both residential and commercial real estate loan business. As Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, Carl is responsible for managing all aspects of BayCoast Bank’s Lending Division, including Consumer, Residential and Commercial Lending.

Carl holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Supervisory School and the National Association of Savings Banks Graduate School.

Carl is a strong community advocate as is evident from his involvement in numerous non-profit organizations. Carl is currently involved with several organizations, including: Trustee Board Member at Southcoast Health System and Southcoast Hospitals Group, Board Member at the New Bedford Chamber of Commerce, Board Member at the Greater New Bedford Workforce Investment Board, Board Member at the South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation, Member of the Foundation to Advance Catholic Education Development Committee, Member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, Trustee Board Member at New Bedford Ocean Explorium, Trustee Board Member at Nativity Prep School of New Bedford, Trustee of the Greater New Bedford Industrial Foundation, Member of the Development Committee for Diocesan Health Facilities, and a Corporator of Child & Family Services (having previously served as President of the Board of Directors). His previous community involvement also includes affiliations with the United Way of New Bedford, Junior Achievement, Waterfront Historic Area League (WHALE), and Coastline Elderly Services.

Carl resides in Mattapoisett, MA, with his wife Natalie.
