In October 2023, the South Coast lost a beloved figure – Hector “Happy Hec” Gauthier, the familiar voice of WSAR morning radio. While we at BayCoast are saddened by Hector’s passing, we take pride in having known such a remarkable individual. For over four decades, he shared his passion for our community through his morning show on WSAR. Hector was a comforting presence, guiding us through many challenging times with his calm demeanor.
